Welp Kanye West has landed himself in a bit of a rough bind. Do you recall before the release of his album "The Life of Pablo", he announced on twitter that it would solely be streamed via Tidal and it won't b released any other place plus he won't be selling out to companies like Apple?
Well that tweet has definitely gotten him in trouble. Because of those tweets, fans had to subscribe to Tidal and that did more than double Tidal subscriptions (about over 1.2 million subscribers more). Now this album is streaming on both Apple and Spotify! OH SNAP!!! Of course fans are bound to be pissed. A particular fan Justin Baker-Rhett didn't take kindly to this at all and has now taken Kanye to court with claims that he duped him and other millions of buyers into buying a subscription for Tidal. He says they were misled and manipulated; and that is not acceptable. My album will never never never be on Apple. And it will never be for sale... You can only get it on Tidal.— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) February 15, 2016
Justin's suit according to TMZ is saying that Kanye's lie helped bring in $84 million to Tidal. Kanye done got himself in soup!! We'd let you know as things unfold.
