AFRICAN PERSONALITY OF THE WEEK

So we've made it tradition to feature one unique person every week that shows off the true African essence in him or her. This week, our eyes feast on a Nigerian/Ghanaian model whose love for African designs is magnanimous.

Introducing 20 year old Anthony Okechukwu, a son of the soil from the land known as the light of Nigeria, Anambra State. This hot looking man that's like a breath of fresh air values his roots a lot and loves the diversity in African cultures, one of the many reasons he enjoys modeling African prints.

Anthony is quite more than just a handful. Even with his tough schedule as an engineering student in Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, he has let no bars hold him back from being extraordinary as far as modeling is concerned.

He definitely attracts a great number of people, no wonder Krystal Talks could not help but be stunned by this true African breed. Tony has achieved a lot within a short time. He was the face and brand ambassador to KNUST Fashion week now known as Kumasi Fashion Week in Ghana, participated in a campaign shoot for Daviva fabric which was designed and styled by Niposkin, selected to represent Nigeria at the Festival International de la Mode Africaine (FIMA) at Niger Republic and also walks major runways.

What inspires him? Well according to the fast rising model, his family first as their faith and strong support urge him on to be even greater. Also, he's inspired by the entire creativity in the whole of Africa as a continent; according to him, although there is still room for improvement in some certain areas, he has lots of faith that the sky is just the starting point for designing and modeling in Africa.

So why model African prints and designs? What's so spectacular you might ask.... He sees something different and unique in them. It gives him a feel of home, makes him feel colourful and powerful and makes him feel grateful for being African....in fact, words alone can't do enough justice to how deeply he feels about them. African designs to Tony are just simply awesome.

Anthony Okechukwu is definitely a force to reckon with. Future modeling plans include working hard to leave a mark on anyone who comes across his works as he'd like to hit a certain point before a certain age keeping in mind that modeling is very competitive.

Keep the African flame burning bright dear!! You're one to look out for. We take pride in people who derive pleasure in emoting the African in them to the outside world the best way they can. Well done and congrats on being our Exquisite African Personality of the Week!
