Ozzy Osbourne has revealed he is undergoing "intense therapy" for a sex addiction that nearly resulted in the disintegration of his marriage to wife Sharon. "

Over the last six years, I have been dealing with a sex addiction," Osbourne said in a statement. "I am mortified at what my behavior has done to my family. I thank God that my incredible wife Sharon is at my side to support me."

His rep says it's "intense therapy.'
Ozzy Osbourne has had his share of addiction problems.

The news comes after Ozzy and Sharon said they were fighting for their 33-year marriage earlier this month. The two split after Ozzy's four-year affair with his former hair colorist, Michelle Pugh, was put out into the spotlight.

While Michelle believed it was a "romantic" courtship, Ozzy says it was nothing more than a physical one and apologizes for his behavior.

"He is sorry if Ms. Pugh took their sexual relationship out of context," the statement added. "He would like to apologize to the other women he has been having sexual relationships with. Out of the bad comes good. Since his relationship with Ms. Pugh was exposed, Ozzy has gone into intense therapy."
